Bennington Bookmarks

Bennington Bookmarks is an artwork located in the Crossett Library on the Bennington College campus (2008-2010) that encouraged visitors to explore areas of the library they may have previously overlooked and to share their ideas about the books and films they love or loathe.

Along with spending five weeks working full-time researching related projects and synthesizing our first semester progress, I was the primary coder for message sorting and display, coached by Joe Holt, and acted as a “processor” for our paper prototyping.

Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Bennington Bookmarks was a collaborative effort of two faculty members, nine students, two staff members and a host of supportive individuals who participated in our prototyping, mapping and iterative design sessions. More information can be found on Preston Noon’s mirror of the original Bookmarks website.
