When I Come To My Senses, I’m Alive!

Costume and Interactive Wearables Design

Annex Theater, Seattle, Apr 23 – May 22, 2010

When I Come to My Senses, I'm Alive! was a new play by Scotto Moore and directed by Kristina Sutherland, described as "a near-future sci-fi story about a technological provocateur who invents a method for capturing emotions as digital information".

The recording and playback of emotions is done through hacked-together headgear that the characters wear. These costume pieces had to display different recording, playback and "haywire" states on-stage, controlled by the actors and on-stage computers.
