PAINTING
To maintain a more constant stream of creativity in my life, I decided that I would like to create some manner of artwork inspired by each novel I finished. Currently I am at 1.5 paintings and 45+ books for the year, so it's not working too well. But it got me painting for the first time since, oh, fifth grade, so I guess that's something.

Poetry
Infrequent and strange ventures into the word of poetry, mostly experiments from a class on writing in form. Poetry is not my strong suit.

The Thing That Lived in My Upstairs Hallway, a sonnet
Nighttime Chores
, a villanelle
Landlubber's Dreams, a villanelle
The Ballad of the Hangman, a ballad
Riding the Bus in Hollywood, California, heroic couplets
